Can't Upgrade? What's this about a sandbox?

A couple of people have reported that they could not upgrade Voice Changer Plus. They would get a message about accounts and the sandbox environment. It turns out in both cases the phone was jailbroken, which is known to cause problems. There is a fix, described here:
